Hello,

DirectAdmin 1.38.0 has been released:
http://www.directadmin.com/versions.php?version=1.380000

This is a major release with many major new features as well as several bugfixes.

1) Note: action is required if you wish to make use realtime outbound email checking:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1173

2) The support of IPv6 into to the binding code to allow IPv6 on port 2222 is likely the most significant code change and also the most risky new feature:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1168

it has been in release candidacy for some time now, and we've not had issues on our build systems and test systems.
(less the documented and automatic change done on FreeBSD)
However there has been one report of Debian systems without IPv6 in the kernel that need:
bind_address=0.0.0.0

to be added to the directadmin.conf.
This is currently being investigated, and a 1.38.1 fix may happen if more reports come in and an update is needed.
The related error code is:
Socket error - try again in 30 seconds

and prevents DA from starting until the above bind_address=0.0.0.0 code is added to the directadmin.conf.

3) There are many other Significant features/fixes:

- DKIM support (just BETA for now)
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1189

- commands.allow and commands.deny, per user for fine-grained access control:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1171

- Use of the named-checkzone binary to ensure valid dns syntax:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1167

- Default security changes for new installs (existing installs not affected):
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1177

- Control of backup itemization for customized backup contents:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1182
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1186

- Ability for domains to remain suspended across a reset, if the User manually suspended it:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1164

- Automatic logout redirect after session expiry:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1191

- Table sorting fixed
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1150

As well as many others. See this link for the full (long) list of changes:

Hi
Ever since i upgraded to the latest version of DA

Debian 5.0 x86

I am now seeing this in my log files

Mar 22 13:14:33 web kernel: [12783223.754348] imap-login[15066]: segfault at e532856e ip e532856e sp bfcceafc erro r 5

Mar 22 13:14:35 web kernel: [12783228.303898] freshclam[17437]: segfault at e4dbf56e ip e4dbf56e sp bfe8b35c error 5

Mar 22 13:58:51 web kernel: [12786811.345780] exim[21364]: segfault at 72626261 ip b77e7694 sp bf8078dc error 4 in ld-2.7.so[b77d2000+1a000]

other services are doing this also including apache.

Basically everything is segfaulting..........

Hello,

I highly doubt that the update of DA would be affecting the other binaries. A DA update only affects the directadmin, dataskq, da-popb4smtp binaries, and their skins. Other binaries (dovecot, apache, etc..) are not affected with a DA update (especially freshclam which is not related at all). It's likely that there is something else causing the segfaults. Perhaps something else was updated around the same time? Perhaps the system libraries, kernel, etc.. I would suggest recompiling all affected services to see if that helps.
