Hi all,

I recently got myself a domain with a provider who uses DirectAdmin. Today I tried to upload a css file but got the following error message:

Unable to open /domains/mydomain.com/public_html/mysubdomain/templates/mysubdomain/css/my_css.css for writing

I made myself a call with my domain provider, but did not get an answer from
them yet.

After making my error report, I also tried to look at the file permissions of the directory. They where 755 for the following directory (with owner):
css apache apache

Does that mean that I, not being apache or belonging to the group apache, have no writing access to the directory?

Lastly, I tried to upload the file. Again no luck. The error message was:
An Error Occurred
Details
Unable to open /domains/mydomain.com/public_html/mysubdomain/templates/mysubdomain/css/my_css.css for writing

Warning: Saved filesize is less than uploaded filesize. Check quotas.

My diskspace is 13.8 mb of 300 mb max.

So, where does it go wrong?

Finally I see what I did wrong. I had to 'Reset ownership' from 'apache apache' to 'myuname myuname'. Had to do that for all subsequent files and directories, but than I could upload the file.

Thanks for bearing with me. This was probably not a question to ask here
