Just little old me on my own server.

Have a server with 8 domains,

went into domain admin to create a new domain

when I clicked create it said:

Unable to write user's httpd.conf

Error Creating Domain

When I tried it a second time it said it already exists (which it did not) at least not in the list in DA

Same happens with any domain I try and create, first says

Unable to write user's httpd.conf

Error Creating Domain

then says it already exists.

The prior day one of the tech guys from my hosting company did something to point domain abc.com to the directory for xyz.com

When i look at the list of set up domains it says ERROR next to domain abc.com

Any ideas, I am stuck, host tech guy is saying its a bug in DA but I am not buying that as I have set up 8 other domain names.

HELP PLEASE!

Hello,

I can solve this, just contact me on Skype, ICQ or MSN.

Hello,

I got your support email. I believe the problem was the domains.list file had a domain in it that didn't have any ./domains/domin.com.conf config files to go with it. When DA tried to read the config files, it errored out, hence give you the problem. Removing the broken domain from the domains.list file should have solved it.

For the domain that "already exists", see this:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=28

The domain that was removed can be re-added (might have to use the above guide for it as well, if you get the "exists" message)

John
