I know that the experienced *nix admins will all say "why do you need this? It's so easy." and yes it is easy but most inexperienced *nix admins and users don't know what all those numbers mean or would like to find out what the value for rwxrw.r.. is in order to do a CHMOD. I also know that you can do a CHMOD and specigy that you want to change settings for the owner, group or world but what the hell. I quickly wrote this tool so I don't have to think about this anymore and thought some people on this forum might find it handy. Please note this is a Windows executable...

Would anybody be interested in a tool similar to ur.exe where you can choose a command and select the options and the tool will give you the text you need to type on the commandline?
=================
ie.
Choose the TAB Change Access Rights
Select if you wish to apply this recursively
Type in the username
Type in the group
type in the filespec
you get
chown -R user:group *
=================
Let me know if you would be interested in this...
