View Full Version : Mail aliasing at the domain level

I have two domains, siftech.com and sift.info. My account is set up as siftech.com, and sift.info is aliased to siftech.com. I am told that currently within DA, this aliasing only works for web services, not for email.
How do I arrange to have the aliasing work for mail delivery as well? Is there a workaround until this capability is added to DA?
TIA,
Harry.

Hello,
Well, you could probably just create 3 full domains, then go into your home directory, delete:
/home/username/domains/sift.info/public_html
Then create a symbolic link:
ln -s ../siftech.com/public_html /home/username/domains/sift.info/public_html
That will take care of forwarding httpd traffic from sift.info to siftech.com
For email, you can then just create forwarders for each account you need, or just set the catchall to one account you use.
This isn't the prettiest workaround, but it will work.
