I'm trying to install secure certs. The panel shows they install fine. But I go to the site https and I get the cert is expired for some snakeoil domain. What am I missing?

hmm ok, I closed my browser and then tried again. It comes up right but says web site certified by unknown authority.

Hi
I am trying to install an ssl certificate, but am having the same problem as goodgirl, it says it is by some snakoil drum. I restarted my browser, cleared cache, but it is still saying it. It is from cacert.org.

First, as goodgirl noticed you have to completely close and restart your local browser; often ALL open browser windows.
Second, goodgirl, what is your cert vendor? Some cert vendors require you install a CA Cert.
Third, nawas, you can find complete information on installing certs on DA here (http://www.site-helper.com/ssl.html).

Hi Jeff
It is through GoDaddy (Starfield Technologies)
I don't get the alert in IE, but I do in Firefox. I don't see it listed in Firefox Cert Authorities. Is that it?

As far as I know, that's it.
Starfield Technology certs, at least the last time I saw one, required a CA cert be installed as well as the site cert.
They should send you the cert. As far as installing it; there's a place to click to install it; see the page I pointed out to nawas.
