DirectAdmin 1.24.4 released

DirectAdmin 1.24.4 has been released.

This release is mainly for api updates, however there are a few features, including:
- The ability to create your stats viewable from the web via the interface
- Ability to edit the dns settings for your domain pointers.
- Hide items in the skins that have a limit of 0, or no access.

I clicked on the Update DirectAdmin link through the control panel and it says:

This is an automated message notifying you that an error has occurred while trying to update the software.
The generated error message is as follows:

Error restoring file /usr/local/directadmin/update.tar.gz :
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
/bin/tar: Child returned status 1
/bin/tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
: tar returned error code 512<br>

I copied the update.tar.gz file into my root folder and tried to open it via tar xvzf update.tar.gz and pretty much got the same message. Help! :(

I dropped John a note regarding this as soon as I updated our test box and he's added it to next months updates.

Hmmm... will he be able to do that and still not request it when you enter stats through the user interface?

Hi Jeff,

I know what you're saying - and my guess is the options would be to either have..

1. open stats that the world can see if they know/guess the directory

2. password protected stats that you have to enter a pw for when viewing through a browser or the DA control panel

3. to just not have public stats and access them through the control panel with no additional password.

But at the moment theres no option to remove or password protect the newly created symlink to the stats which is ok if you're the admin but I feared getting into the scenario where lots of users create public stats, then can't delete them and it'll create a whole lot more work because the options not there to pw protect them or delete the symlink.

There are a few caveats to doing this unless John thinks up a clever way of resellers or admins being able to access them without prior knowledge of the password.

Just to update my situation... the datacenter who I get my servers from accidentally deleted my DA license and promptly reissued my DA license when I forwarded them response (very quick response I might add) from John@DA regarding what might have had happened to my license. :D
