ProFTPd Issue

I am running ProFTPd 1.2.10, FC2 os.

After I did the upgrade to that verson of ftp, it has been
going down all the time. I have to restart it at least once per day, and it will stay up for a while, then go down, in DA control panel, it shows it as up, but it is down, which means DA is not restarting auto for me.

Any suggestions for me to try? I thought about just removing FTP and doing a reinstall, in case that was a bad install.

If DA lists it as up, but it's down, it means the PID file is still there, I guess.
You should read your logs why exactly it goes down.
