FrontPage creates index.html

Hi All,

When I publish a site using frontpage, the host insists on renaming index.php as index.html.

This does not happen when I publish the same page to other servers.

My host provider suggested that it could be a direct admin setting, or that at worst, the learneds in this forum might be able to tell me what might be happening and where the problem lies.

I couldn't really say. I know that Frontpage probably doesn't know what php is, but why it would be renaming it, I'm not sure. I'd just use the Filemanager to rename the file back.

I suspect it might be one of those "undocumented features" in Frontpage, but I'm damned if I can find anything anywhere on how to make it stop. The renaming thing is a pain, but for now, that is the solution.
