I'm posting here in addition to having just written DirectAdmin support...

We've got an emergency and have to renumber a server tonight. To make a long story short we're losing connectivity tonight because the Level3 reseller we rent the cabinet from has a dispute with Level3 and they haven't been able to resolve it.

Has anyone had any experience with renumbering?

if I just renumber everything manually in the httpd.conf files will the hosting continue to work even though DirectAdmin won't?

The same with Exim?

Anyone know?

Thanks.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

As long as the IP's in the httpd.conf files are bound to the device, then apache should work fine.

Exim doesn't really care what IP's are running.. just make sure the /etc/hosts file has the new IP in it.

Also check the proftpd configs: /etc/proftpd.conf and /etc/proftpd.vhosts.conf

Thanks, John...
I've gotten your email replies as well.

We'll take your advice and I hope we'll do fine <smile>.
