Fantastico Install Code

Hello,
I'm in love with DirectAdmin and prefer it over Cpanel, am quite comfortable with the DA interface, however am not so comfortable with SSH commands

This is basically what i should do if i had cpanel and not directadmin

cd /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot
rm -Rf fantastico*
wget -N http://netenberg.com/files/free/fantasticoinstaller.tgz
tar xzpf fantasticoinstaller.tgz
rm -f fantasticoinstaller.tgz

http://ipaddress:2086/fantasticoinstaller/installer.php

However, what modification needs to be done to install it to DirectAdmin?

Reading these forums, i've seen threads about InstallTron, however i can't afford that right now, as I would go for the free edition of fantastico instead

As far as I know Fantastico is for cPanel only. Installatron is Fantastico's equivalent err superior and works on both controlpanels ;)

The only reason I was looking for fantastico was for the Oscommerce plugin, I know Installtron and Fantastico has both.

But the cost matters for me :rolleyes:

Does anyone just have an oscommerce install plugin?

According to my quick search for one license, Fantastico is $90 and Installatron is only $60 with a $5 less renewal charge...

It wouldn't be to hard to write your own plugin, assuming you have some programming knowledge.

The bottom line, Steven, is that if you want Fantastico to work with DA you'll have to talk to their authors. It's not an open source program and we're not free to modify it to run with DA.
