Official Mailing List from DA?

Is there any version update mailing list that I can subscribe to? I don't want to log in as admin every once in a while and notice that there have been numerous new patches already.

Just thought it would be nice to at least be informed that new versions are out, and I can choose if I should install it immediately or no.

DA does not run a mailing list.

We'd like one as well, and I've created da-announce.

But before I announce the address and open it to subscriptions someone will have to be found to be the official voice to post to it.

John would be the obvious choice.

I'll bring this thread to his attention.

I just realized I'd never posted the signup address to this thread.

The da-announce mailing list is an announce only list for the purpose of announcing DirectAdmin updates.

It's managed by Majordomo.

To join, send an email to:

majordomo@daserversolutions.com

There's no need for a "subject" but you can use anything you want.

The body of the request should include one line:

subscribe da-announce

and nothing else, though you can have a sig, as long as it's preceeded by a line with only "-- " on it.

The list is double-opt-in so you will get an email with instructions to use if you really want to be on the list.
