I have a dedicated server running DA. I want to modify the php.ini file but I can't seem to access the file with DA. The path does not show up in the files list. I have logged in under my admin name.
thankyou for your help

You must do this through ssh with root privileges.

thanks for replying so fast. can access the dir with putty and find the file. New to this so perhaps you could point me in the right direction on how to then edit the file.
thanks for your time.

Here's some very basic information about ssh:
http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=10
Once you find the php.ini file you would use a text editor such as "vi" and make any modifications you want.
Then save and exit, usually ":wq"
man vi will give you more information on that specific editor.
