View Full Version : Creating a forwarder? Unexplained error.
When I try to create a forwarder, I get this error message, despite the accuracy of the contents I've entered;
Error creating forwarder
Details
String contains an invalid email address: Q
Do not use any spaces between emails.
There's no spaces in the email forwarder I'm trying to make. Needs fixing ASAP. Thanks. :)

Yes, this is a known bug and is fixed in 1.08 which should be coming out shortly.
John
When is shortly? If there's a path I could get, I'd love to have it! :)
I'm trying to make sales@ forward to multiple addresses.

/etc/virtual/domain.com/aliases
for example, if you want sales@domain.com to forward to bob@otherdomain.com and ed@thirddomain.com, simply add the line (before the *)
sales: bob@otherdomain.com,ed@thirddomain.com
and you should be good to go.
"Shortly" means within a day or two, in this case :D

For what it's worth, our new install, yesterday, says it's 1.08.

I get the same error when I use e-mail addresses with capitals in.
(i believe it's possible for the 'local-part' of an e-mail address to be case sensitive - RFC822)

How can I tell which versions of DA my host is running?
Keven.

Generally, the DirectAdmin version number can be easily found in the title of any page. 1.10 is the latest version, and your host is most likely running this (DA updates itself).
