This question has been touched on before (http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3643&perpage=20&highlight=non%20SSL%20url%20secure%20ip&pagenumber=1) and left unresolved.
If DA has SSL enabled and a user types a non SSL URL such as:
http://myhostname.com:2222
they get redirected to:
https://<host_ip>:2222
which causes a certificate popup warning. This of course causes confusion for the end user.
Back in June of 2004 John was going to think about a way to resolved this issue. Has an option been added so non-ssl requests will get redirected to the host name SSL URL instead of the IP?
