Which OS is best and easier to update with DA?

Also can DA work with CentOS?

I use DA with CentOS 3.3 and 3.4 with no problem :D

Personally, either Debian or FreeBSD for the packaging/ports system. Those are the two I like best and recommend. FreeBSD will be the smoothest to setup since most of the bugs have been worked out whereas Debian installation is a little rough.
