Dear Mark,
i cannot receive email in my server.
can u please kindly help to check ?
after the installation of the directadmin.
the email doesn't work.

What happens when you try :
service exim restart

try restarting it as snickn suggested, also check you havnt blocked all mail or something silly like that, if you have just added a firewall make sure you have the correct ports open for mail, if you still dont have any luck post again.
Also, are you recieving any errors? checked your mail logs? is your outgoing mail working?

He said he had recently installed, what I was getting at by getting him to restart it is I believe exim is just refusing to start due to a typo in exim.conf in the latest release, which afaik isn't fixed yet...

if its a unstable version and the problem could well be there i suggest you revert to a stable version of exim or find a fix, then see how it goes from there :)

Hello,
For anyone else, the problem was that the domain wasn't in the /etc/virtual/domains and /etc/virtual/domainowners files after being restored from a disk crash.
