no shadow file?

Hello I have installed a clean new version of fedora core 3
Now I want to install da but I get this message:


*** Cannot find the /etc/shadow file used for passwords ***
Installation didn't pass, halting install.

I have lookt in de /ets directory and there is no shadow file.

How can I do install the shadow file?

I dont have installed Administration Tools
Maby I have to install this but how?

Any standard RHL/Fedora install (probably any Linux install at all in the last few years) will include a shadow file.

Check manually to see if the shadow file is there.

If it isn't, I wouldn't trust the install; I'd start over.

Use:

pwconv

To shadow your passwords :)
