Updating packages + kernel

I've 2 problems with my updates, since about 2month with up2date -u my packet manager cannot find an update, & when I try to update my kernel from sources, he write

Anyone can help me? I'm using to fedora 1.warning: kernel is too big for standalone boot from floppy

What I need to do?

That's just a warning that if you update to the kernel you won't be able to use an emergency boot floppy.

The best place to get support for Fedora would be on the Fedora users list.
