Hi!
A customer ordered a new account
and I would like to give him a temporal
URL so he can see his website.
I now that it is possible to go to
http://servername/~username
but I am thinking in something like
http://username.servername.com
Thanks in advance

You can create an account that uses a subdomain as its own domain. If that's what your after.....
Just put your temporary subdomain in the target box when creating the account.

What I finally did was edit the httpd.conf file of my customer's username at /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/username/httpd.conf
and added the new domain in the line ServerAlias line. Then restarted Apache..
The new domain I added was something like username.mymaindomain.com and before doing so, I edited the DNS zone for mydomain.com via the DA control panel for THE Admin.

You can do that from the control panel either as admin or the reseller (I forget); you just add the line where you customize the httpd.conf file.

What line ?
I'm a n00b, hehe
I'm interested, because I want my users automatically get te subdomain webmail.theirdomain.com
(which of course would get them to squirrelmail)
THanx, in advance...
