When are you going to put a proper reseller system in place?

There has been "talk" of this for months and yet no sign of any progress.

We know that we could sell licenses but the current system does not support it and we end up sending them directly to you instead :(

Work is still ongoing but it has been slowed by development of DA for the newer OS's (FreeBSD 5.3, Debian, FC3). Unfortunately the reseller system is not a simple feature we can add quickly. It requires a complete overhaul of our licensing system (and I do mean *complete*), support system, and many other considerations.

Debian itself is done, we are just tweaking the installer. FC3 will be done shorty after (no more than a week or two) and then we can concentrate more fully on the reseller system.

We were even considering allowing reselling right now, but there would be no way to enforce any policeis (e.g. that customers must get help from the reseller instead of us). It would be quite messy.

As things stand we are quite frustrated because we can't sell it :(

That's fine if the server is internal, but what if it isn't?

Internal licenses can be used in your own data center, or on servers you sell. We don't sell hardware. We sell software with installation.

Mark and I have an ongoing discussion on this, and it looks as if it's moving along.

Yeah, a real pitty because this could free up thier time because the resellers would be answering the support questions and DA could concentrate on expanding the control panel.
