How about fixing the issue of full system backup not working! I have read many posts about this since I have been with DA over the past year.
Every backup I ever tried did not work. Luckily never tried a restore and needless to say a restore would most definately fail big time.
Why is it management here is so unresponsive in fixing issues like this and others? Why do the work on new versions when time would be much better spent fixing old versions, IMO?

Are you sure? That is odd, what is your secret? My backups fail all the time.

He's probably talking about user backups, not system backups.
Personally, I don't see a purpose for the system backup when you have access to user backups. I backup everyone, transfer to a different server, restore. Done! :)

User backups works great as far as I can tell!

DA user backups are renowned for being oddly problematic. John and Mark are aware of it though. It's not an easy thing to debug.
Matt :)
PS Does anyone know if DA user backups on a Linux box will work on a FreeBSD box?
Thanks!
