webalizer vs awstats

does anyone notice a significant difference between the results of the 2 stats programs?

i'm noticing a big difference. for example, in pages served / month: awstats is showing over 100,000 pages, while webalizer is showing 68,000 pages served.

who should i believe?

Since they both read directly from the log file. It could be because webalizer only runs every 24 hours and awstats updates whenever you run it so it there will probably some sort of difference.

that's a pretty big difference for the month of october. awstats wasn't even running all month since i just set it up a couple weeks ago. seems terribly optomistic.
