By default system backup will go to /home/backup.
Did you change it to go to /backup?
What does your backup log say?

ok, i found the logs it says
Performing sanity checks: backup already performed for 10-17-04 (/backup/10-17-04), aborting...
Performing cleanup operations: Completed
so i will try again tomolo.
anyway, i still found nothing at /backup/10-17-04

If you don't want to wait, simplly delete that backup directory (and any contents) at /backup/10-17-04, and just leave the empty /backup partition.
Then try it again and check the log after an hour or two.
