Can I change the root folder?

Can I point the website address at a directory other than public_html

Hello,

No, the public_html folder cannot be changed (unless you have access to the templates, requires root access and major changes to existing users). Or you could use the cutom httpd.conf feature to set the DocumentRoot, but this would affect all virtua hosts for your domain, including all https and all subdomains (Again this requires admin level access)

Why would you want the root directory to be changed? What difference does it make for the website?
