Subdomains & Add Domains

I have a few questions regarding DA's use of subdomains and Add Domains.

1) Are the Added Domains actually pointed to subdomains of the master account?

2) If the Added Domains are indeed pointed to subdomains, can the page still be reached using the subdomain....without us having to make some adjustments via command line?

3) I read at WHT where the Added Domains get their own Control Panel. Do the Added Domains have the option to add-on domains in their control panel, also? This is something I do not desire.

Hello,

New domains are completely new domains, independant of any existing ones.

Adding extra domains to the User's Panel will give them a new domain screen for each domain. Only that User can access these pages and that User cannot create any other DirectAdmin Users.

So, the domains are independent of one another, except that they share resources (disk space and bw/transfer). Am I seeing this right?
