Dear team
i have two server A and B
in server A i have one 2 user test1 and test2
when i need to shift the server i do the following
1-compress the folder /home/test1
2-create a account with name test1 on server B
3-delete the file from server b /home/test1
4-download the file which i compress on server A
5-extract the files
but by this method the password of user is changed and this i what i dont want

If you are using DirectAdmin you can do that directly from panel at Administration backup section.

If you are not using Directadmin you are on the wrong forum, this is just for DirectAdmin CP users and is not an official support forum.

Using DirectAdmin Admin level backup everything will be backed up (file, db, confs, password and whatever), so, just use that function and it will create a zipped file to move to the new server where you can restore from same Admin level backup section and all user with their data and password will be restored.

check the directadmin error log for that. Or, dont use cronjob but start backup directly.

Did you set a crontab task in directadmin in order to run Admin Level Backup periodically?

If not, you should do it. If yes, that should be done.

Read page «Admin Backup/Transfer» (with admin level login into directadmin) for more information.
