MySQL Admin access

I can't get access to administer MySQL through the phpmyadmin through a direct url (with DA) that was posted in this forum or through command line. Everytime I get a message saying access denied

Hello,

1) if you are trying to login to phpMyAdmin as a User, you have to make sure that you have already created a database.

2) if you are trying to login to phpMyAdmin is an Admin (root access), use the login/pass stored in /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf
