PuTTY SSH

OK im new to ssh and basically know nothing about it. I have putty but when I try to ssh into my server I get to the part for putting in my root password but it wont let me type it....Its either frosen or somethings wrong.....Could someone please help me?

Putty does't reflect anything back at you when you type in the password, so you shouldn't see anything.

After you type the password you should press the "Enter" key.

After you do that if it's still locked up, you should probably try to find a Putty support forum somewhere; this is the support forum for DirectAdmin, which runs on Linux and Unix.

At the very least this post belongs in "Off Topic Discussion".
