I am hosting two domains on one account because I barely use either, other than for email. I was wondering if anybody knew how i to setup the POP on my local client.

Do I use the same username and password for both POP accounts, since to get into DirectAdmin, I am logging in with one username and password. For the mail server, does anybody know if I am suppose to do the following?

mail.first-site.com

and then

mail.second-site.com

but then the username and password are the same?

Create an catch-all (mail) for both accounts set to the reseller or admin.

Is that a hack, or is that the only way?

Two domains are two domains. They're treated as two domains, just the same as if they were hosted on different servers.

Well I set it up, following the directions, for two domains. But now what? When I go to www.second-domain.com I don't get anywhere but a dead link.

I changed the DNS on the second-domain about 24 hours ago, and I suppose that can still be resolving right now, but other than that I don't see what else I can do.

Also I see in my email accounts for the second-domain, the main one is [first-domain-login-name]@[second-domain].com.

Does that mean when I setup my POP access I am suppose to use the first-domain-login-name and password? Which I would guess not because they do ask you to specify another username and password for the second domain.

And finally, when I download the outlook setup straight from the website, it creates an email account which includes the domain name in the login part. For example: tester@second-domain.com instead of just tester.

That doesn't seem right to me, can somebody confirm that that is wrong? I am just using the login-name right now, not login-name@domain.com
