Well I've got a plain redhat server that I have for about 10 more days and I am seriously thinking about switching from cPanel to DA. Is there any possible way that I could get a trial license for my server before it gets cancelled? I want to test out all aspects of DA and do some tests that I can't do with the demo. Please advise.

Thank you.

I've also got a couple of pre-sales questions:

A) How easy is it to migrate accounts from cpanel to directadmin?
B) Is there a backup solution for directadmin (ie, is it easy to schedule backups to a 2nd HDD [daily, weekly, monthly...])

Thanks again.

A - Yes! See my cPanel-to-DA conversion tool (http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=2247).

B - Indeed. DA includes a user backup GUI with a cron option.

Thanks, Phi1. :)

Something to add to B:

Don't know if they make it this release but it is planned:

They postponed it one version so far, but usually when that happens, the feature is introduced in the version after it's first mention in the version system. (Am i making sense here ?)

Hello,

Correct. We pushed it back to get the release out quicker. Admin level backup is quite a major feature so we don't want to rush it to force it into a release. We're aiming to get it into this release, and will most likely push the release back to finish it (if needed) instead of moving the feature again.
