phpmyadmin on one server

Is it feasible to have phpmyadmin on a bog standard server then configure the config file with our servers.......
I ask because its becoming a chore updating every server lately........
Has this scenario have any drawbacks? Issues?

Well, I found an issue:

#1130 Cannot log in to the MySQL server
Which I forgot about, and means every MySQL user needs an extra HOST allow by default.......

Oh well. was a good idea though.
