does anyone know about any scripts or tools to migrate from Ensim to DirectAdmin? or does DirectAdmin provides such options?

I'm almost complete with cleaning up the scripts I wrote to do my Ensim 3.7 to DA migration.

Scripts include:

1) Setting up the sites. (Passwords are not recoverable)
2) Adding Email users (Passwords are not recoverable)
3) Adding / Converting Email Aliases (There are gotchas)
4) Restoring site content.
5) Fix frontpage on frontpage sites to work and resetting FP admin password.
6) Import normal ensim pop3 mailboxes.
7) Working on script to import IMAP folders.

and don't forget...

* restore mysql database
* fix connect strings.
* notify users thier cron jobs stopped working. :-P
* check php safe mode settings for the accounts and other stuff you might have modified
* notify users that server side java just stopped working (or install tomcat or something)
* remeber to restore the subdomains as well

and there are some more issues... I've tried it... you don't wanna go there...

I had decided not to release the scripts due to potential liability as well as not having the time to support them.

Is there any chance that you could release some code that just generates a report of all of the ensim configuration, rather than a migration script.

I would find this really handy to assist with doing a manual migration.

Due to a special request and migration, I have updated my scripts and am almost through with the rewrite.

1) Based on Ensim 3.7 site backup file. (1 script exists to capture email passwords from the ensim server. These passwords are then used in the migration.)

2) Create the sites.

3) Restore HTML content. (Detects frontpage and automatically fixes frontpage files and resets the FP password to a new selected password.)

4) Create email accounts.

5) Create email aliases.

6) Import inbox.

7) Import IMAP folders.

I will be furthering the enhancements of these scripts for future one off special migration requests. You may PM me for further details.

Unfortunately, due to the amount of work involved in preparing the scripts and potential work in supporting them it is not possible to provide migration assistance for free. Anything can go wrong if things are not planned. Nobody should consider a migration from one control panel to another a light and easy load. Migrations are planned and coordinated processes. For me, it means time away from my wife, 3 kids, dog, and day job. I hope you understand. I've seen to many customers suffer from poorly planned migrations.
