Never had this before.. If I create a pop account with rickrick@domainhere.com the pop server wil reject the user. I have tested serveral usernames like johnjohn or didi and they all get rejected. And before you ask, everything else workes fine as long as you do not use doubled names. Very weird.
Any ideas?
Thanks..

are you sure thats the problem? what errors are you getting... do ALL usernames with 2 of the same characters do this? (such as aa@domain.com / aba@domain.com etc?
I cant see why that would happen...

ab@ aba@ and abab@ is fine but abaaba@ fails
Looking at the error the mail client gives is Bad Login. This is in Outlook and TheBat1.62 and both tested on different machines and internet network locations.
Exim is not logging anything. No reject message or whatsoever. No system messages. I think something is not going right with a filter setting in exim (regex) I have no idea..

Hello,
What's rejecting them? pop, smtp or both?

As far as I can tell pop only.. But wait..
Now I restarted Exim and everything is ok. Declare me nuts insane whatever you will, I have no idea what changed or happend :)
This is one of the strangest things I've seen.. Oh well..
