View Full Version : Setting shared IP Direct Admin
hello
Server setup 2 IP addresses I want to associate Reseller customer has
Reseller belongs
Then I made one site IP
IP locked only this site to become owned.
I want some sites will be under the same IP Reseller
How to do it
How to make IP address shared outside the primary IP address
tanks you
It's quite simple, and realistically you will probably need more than 2 x IPs, especially if you reseller has already used one up for dedicated (or even SSL). You will most likely want to add a "pool" of IPs to your DA and don't forget to enable them on your network setup (ifconfig).
Go into DA Admin and allocated the IPs to your Resellers as you see fit:

hi
i dont understand how i do this
the 2 ip in ifconfig :
eth0:3 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
inet addr:212.xx.xx.xx Bcast:212.xx.xx.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
Interrupt:177
eth0:4 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
inet addr:212.xx.yy.xx Bcast:212.xx.yy.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
Interrupt:177
now the reseler X is owned 2ip
and when i open user account and get ip , the ip is onnly one site

ok so it looks as if you have 4 IP's in total.
So why can't you allocate one of those to a shared IP pool - and don't allow it to be taken as dedicated.
i dont need more IP and is more money
If your clients need a dedicated IP, they pay you for it, so you shouldn't need to worry about "money" in that sense.
but how i do it as sharde
is owned and i whant sharde
