Hey,

For some reason pop3 seems to be down.

I have restarted dovecot within DA and yet it doesn't seem to be working, iv'e also restarted the server.

Any ideas?

what's the host name / IP address of the POP3 server? show some log file extracts /var/log/syslog or messages ... more info needed before we can help :)
