Untar facility in file manager

Hi,

My current host doesn't allow SSH access so I was wondering how likely it is that untaring of files will be possible soon through the file manager?

That would be a nice feature for users without ssh access.
Not only that but for beginners as well.

That could be done... I would have to do a lot of checking, as the tar program can fail for various reaons... ie, takes too long (have to set a reasonable timeout), tar files with passwords (tar would hang.. have to look into passwords with tar.gz files)... also have to figure out the functionality of it.. would probably use the clipboard.... well, we have far more pressing issue at the momment, but it can definately be added to the list :)
