cname dns record only allows for cname to current domain

Shouldn't you be able to do a cname record to point to any domain?

I tried adding the cnames to the domain.named.db file and dig seems to resolve it correctly, but it's not showing up in DA.

Will the ones I added manually be overwritten with changes through DA?

Also, just realized you can't edit the dns, so i assume, delete then add should be fine?

We'll be adding that functionality within the next few releases, as it seems logical to have it. Right now it just shows the domain, so you can just ignore what it shows you through DirectAdmin.

Ok guys, this is the last thing i ask of you, after this, everything can wait. My manual edits get overwritten when i change something through DA right now, so I have to have this. Can't afford for something to get overwritten later on and not know why. This has to be an easy fix, could probably just make it a text box instead of none.
