Setting in User package what e-mail protocol is allowed

It might be VERY usefull to be able to define which e-mail protocol (POP or IMAP) the user is allowed to use.

Since webspace is shared for site and e-mail an alternative could be to define a total space and a seperate quota / percentages allowed/reserved for e-mail.

Why does it matter if they use pop3 or imap. I dont get it.

I get it... IMAP uses a lot more server resources than does POP3.

I don't see an easy way of setting it up, though. I suppose through some kind of firewalling.
