help ****mailing list footer!!!!!!!

When I create a new mailing list through the control panel and fill out the footer field no footer is displayed in the message sent out.
somebody can u please help me out

Majordomo cannot properly add footers to html emails.

Are you testing with html emails? Or with plain text?
