restore question

i've yet to try DA's restore fuction.

i've a httpd related question.

let's say my server is newly setup, there is no virtual host yet.

now, what if i run restore from my old server's backup, will DA automatically update my httpd.conf and add virtual host at the end of the file?

I *believe* DA only appends new lines to httpd.conf when you add new virtual hosts through DA itself, be it the restore tool or anything else, DA will still *append* them. However, DA can't/won't refresh the whole file based on any kind of config files.

anyway, i'll try soon...

let's say my 2nd server was just setup and not website on it, i restore it from the backup of 1st server, will there be any problem? just to comfirm:

1. do i need to create each user on DA on my 2nd server before i process the restore?

2. do i need to modify httpd.conf, such as adding virtual hosts?

3. do i need to manually recover mysql database?

4. any other things i should be pay more attention before i start the restore?

When using DA's "Manage User Backups" feature there will not be any problems. I'm just not sure if that's what you meant you're doing or not.
