Long story short, prior to DNS taking effect, I setup a new domain on my dedicated server pointing to /home/admin/domains/sharedip
Now that DNS has taken effect, I want to change the directory for this domain to: /home/admin/domains/domain.com <---- domain.com is the name of the domain of course.
How would I go about making this change? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I am not sure that you know what you want :)
Try to enter in the User Level Mode :)

Yes I know exactly what I want. I have a domain that somehow is currently pointing to: /home/admin/domains/sharedip/public_html and I want it to point to directory: /home/admin/domains/domain.com/public_html
So where can I make that change in a config file or something?

How this domain was added? I think you should delete it and add it this way:
You need to Enter DirectAdmin Administrative mode and select User Level.
It's really strange how you managed to do that.
In the worst case you can access
/usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/domains/
Check if the configs are right.

Weird indeed I agree. LOL.
I ended up having to go into the directory for the httpd.conf for directadmin and make manual changes..... now it's working fine.
Total wierdness...
