Client Owned IP - DNS not working properly

Hi,
One of my costumers asked for a dedicated ip after assigning the ip to the costumer i checked if dns was pointing to the right and all seems ok, but when i ping the domain i got the old address answer, i made this change about 24h ago any ideias what could be causing this issue?
