Apache Stopped

I have been getting these emails for the past day. "This message has been automatically generated notifying you that the service httpd is currently down." When I try to restart via "service httpd start" I get the error: syntax error on line 2 of httpd-php-handlers.conf -- invalid commang "AddHandler" perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration.

Any help would be appreciated.
