Hi everybody,

We have released our new Enhanced DirectAdmin theme (the one you have all been waiting for). To get it, manually download the latest DirectAdmin version from your Admin panel.

Anyone else having trouble updating to the new version? I have an email in to support@, but every time I click the update link, it'd appear it's updating to 1.21.3 rather than 1.22.. on RHEL3 :(

EDIT. never mind i just restored my sites and they appear to be showing up this way, not sure why. nothing to do with the skin.


also can we change the total disc usage to the old way

it says "2.98e+03" right now, i would way rather have 2980.03 or whatever the conversion is..

i've got 3 questions:

1. there are sth wrong with the skin, please see attached file, notice the skin and the value of used disk space. (it was viewed at full screen)

2. Does DA plans to tranlate the skin? if no, i've downloaded the lang directory and about to start translation. before i start, i need to confirm is the tranlation simply replace the english text in the html language file?

such as "LANG_ADMIN_SETTINGS=Administrator Settings"
what i'll need to change is the part after equation mark, am i right?

3. Where is language mangement link? i remember one of DA stuff said end user shall be able to choose language in the new skin?

2.98e+03 is 2980 in scientific notation; my guess is that the DA staff needs to use some kind of formatting string.

2) Since I'm not farmiliar with other languages, we are willing to include language files that people translate.
3) User Panel -> Account Info/Stats .. the same place as where you set your email address and name.

I'm going to re-release it in a few days with a few fixes, so any language packs that make it for then will be included ;)

If you have version 1.22.0, you have the new skin. You have to change your skin though, it will leave all accounts untouched.

I only have powerskin and default, that's all. Changing to them works, but not the new one.

I love the new skin, great work. I do have one problem with it, and it has to do with the progress bars. I have one account that can see them and another that cannot. I know it has to do with the php scripting working for one account, but I can't seem to figure out why one would work and not the other, they have pretty much the same configuration.

there's a small bug in the User section of the new skin. If you click on:

Webmail: Squirrelmail it forwards to --> UebiMiau

And

Webmail: UebiMiau ----> to Squirelmail

How can I fix the links?

i don't have this bug, have you updated to 1.221?
but i've some problem with UebiMiau, it always shows blank page after login. :confused:

Databases number are displayed incorrectly in the right panel.

Also in Statistics Panel there are a few small errors:

1. The log usage apears to be 0, even if I have Apache logs available there

2. Email Disk Usage and Database Disk Usage appears as 0 even if it's not true, I have 2 databases there and also some emails boxes which are not empty.

This is all I have found wrong at the Enhaced skin at the first look.

I think the databases not showing up is a bug with the restore and not the skin. Try creating/deleteing a test database. I'll get the tally to recount the item usage stats. Right now it's just counting

The log usages are computed with the tally, so wait for the tally to retotal it.

Nevermind, I should have looked at the php scripting. It will only show the progress bars on accounts that have a bandwidth/quota limit. Otherwise it just returns. That makes more sense, since the account that was not displaying the progress bars, is one I use with unlimited bandwidth and disk usage.

That skin contain some images with text.
Do you intending to add some multi-language support at the level of images? :)
Some kind of 'images/lang/en' or 'lang/en/images' folders for "language-specific" images maybe?

I was using Hermes as my skin before. But this skin is awesome. I love it. Can we change the coloring of the skin or images it uses like the top image i woudl like to put my logo on it and color to fit my site.

Yes, but for now you'd need to do it manually: ie: install your own copy of the skin and make any changes you want.

Yes you can do this - I changed the header.gif to incorporate my own logo.

Top image in found in the file file_user.conf in /usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/enhanced

Image name is :

IMG_SKIN_HEADER=images/header.gif

I copied over the header gif with my own. (make sure the sizes are the same unless you change the width and height of the image as well)

Sytle sheet controls alot of the colouring. Found in same directory, name style.css.

The reason why john made the comment about making another copy of the skin was because if you just edit the enhanced skin, then anytime they do updates you risk the skin being over written by the update putting it back to default. So its better to rename the skin to something else, or else just watch every update and fix it if needed.

I am hoping that if they update the theme that the images are not part of the update. If they are I have a copy of the image files which I can upload.

Personally I think if you use the same image name format as is in the DA theme and keep to the same width/height etc then it should be ok.

Not really. For an end User, the "Messaging" system is for more than tickets. It handles messages from the admin, and overusage notifications.

Yes. Run that command after you have the latest version to get rid of the scientific notation. (or just wait for the nightly cron to run it for you)

Once your in the skins managment page you select the new skin (in this case enhanced) and apply it to Me, and then apply it to all users if you wish which will make it the default.

Hey,

Right now the only way is to replace the header with yours...

I'd guess you're wanting to change the header on the "Enhanced" skin.

What I'd recommend, others may have different suggestions, is to copy the enhanced skin directory to a new directory (or just tar the enhanced skin file to a new directory) and modify those files.

The name you give the new directory is what will show up in the skin choices in DA. Remember to change to the new skin in DA.

Doing it this way has a couple of benefits... One is DA won't overwrite the changes you make during updates and two is if anything goes wrong you still have the original skin as an option.

Anyway, in the enhanced skin, the header.gif is the one to replace your header with and it's here:

/usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/enhanced/images/header.gif

Of course, if the header is all you plan to change you could simply replace it and after any DA skin updates simply replace it again.
