DirectAdmin service keeps stopping and then restarting

Hey guys

Hoping you can help me out, I'm new to DirectAdmin.

I started having this problem today, I would be using the DirectAdmin control panel through SSL and then every 5 minutes or so the page would become unavailable for about a minute or so saying "Unable to connect". Yet my apache still works during this time and so does my squirrelmail. Even a ping to the server works correctly.

So I noticed that during this time my DirectAdmin service is shown as stopped. It seems it restarts itself after about a minute. It continues this cycle every 5 minutes or so. I tried rebooting my server, and it continues to have the problem.

Any idea what might be wrong?

UPDATE:

Alright, I tried formatting and reinstalling EVERYTHING from scratch and tried doing it without using SSL, and it's still happening. I'm thinking maybe it's been happening all along and I never noticed until now? And the directadmin service happens to be going down exactly every 7 minutes. Or maybe every 6 and then it reboots itself exactly 1 minute later...

Please, any body have any idea what might cause this??

Have you looked at the DirectAdmin log file?

Yes, every 7 minutes it says:

"service directadmin wasn't running, starting it" - errortaskq.log
"directadmin started" - system.log

Nothing to indicated what's actually causing it to stop. It's religiously every 6 minutes, restarts after the 7th minute.

I've tried everything I could think of, I have no idea what could cause this.
