Install Paths

Hello

I have a colocate cobalt raq which sets up users sites under /home/sites/. Is it poosible to customise the install of apache so that the paths would be the same as the cobalts?

Not sure about sideeffects, but assuming you created the directories, it should work. (They won't have upload privilege unless chowned and symlinked)

It says "If you wish to change the setup of the VirtualHosts for all domains...." therefore it will not work on a per domain basis?

I really only need on domain to have a custom vhost. s that possible?

You could most likely do it manually.

You might run into some issues, but I'm sure you could get around them.

The RaQs use a nonstandard format; what is it about this site that you can't make a few path changes so it'll work on a DA server?

We've moved quite a few sites from RaQs to DA systems and we've never had a site we couldn't move.

One thing really. They have alot of scripts all hard coded with the path /home/sites/vsite/web/scripts/etc and are understandably hestiatant to go through and change all of these.

I hope with some persusasion they will accept that the superior performance from the DA server compared with the cobalt will compensate for the pain of making these script amendments.
