all reseller users gone/deleted

Hi,

A strange thing happened, all the users from two resellers were deleted (including home directories etc). I've restored the backups now, but does anybody have an idea what could have happened?

A number of things could have happened most of which include your server being hacked.

I couldn't find any trail in logs/rootkits...
