Hi Everyone,

My system crons were running fine yesterday, when they suddenly stopped working. I realized the crontab was stopped. I tried to restart, and had no luck:

[root@vps /]# service crond start
Starting crond: /bin/bash: crond: command not found [FAILED]

Here is the relevent entries in the cron log which shows when things stopped running:

Jan 19 20:51:01 vps crond[32260]: (admin) CMD (wget http://www.website.com/scripts/process_que.php)
Jan 19 20:52:01 vps crond[32679]: (root) CMD (/usr/local/directadmin/dataskq)
Jan 19 23:44:19 vps /usr/bin/crontab[15684]: (root) LIST (nobody)
Jan 20 00:03:23 vps /usr/bin/crontab[1500]: (root) LIST (nobody)
Jan 20 00:06:18 vps /usr/bin/crontab[3863]: (root) LIST (nobody)
Jan 20 00:06:43 vps /usr/bin/crontab[6083]: (root) LIST (nobody)

Any idea what the problem is, or how I can fix it?

Remember that conversation we had about your VPS? If I were you I'd find out what it is they do. You really don't want them to do anything at all.
