Mail Queue and Mail Quotas

How many messages does the average server have in the queue? It can be checked with "exim -bpc". Also, do people usually put quotas on email boxes?

I rarely have over 10 (peak hours) in queue. Have you seen why you have so many in there?

I don't have quotas, yet I do limit outgoing mail over 20MB as that's the same limit as GMail, and saves a lot of bounced email.
